Sportsbooks and the NFL Are Official Betting Partners

official betting

If you’re a fan of NFL football, you’ve probably heard of official betting. NFL teams have already partnered with companies for official betting. The Giants announced their official betting partnership in September 2020, and the Jets announced theirs two years earlier. But the NFL has yet to designate betting partners. In addition to NFL teams, the PGA TOUR has also licensed video from its events to sportsbooks. But this does not mean that sportsbooks can’t be official betting partners, too.

NFL licenses official data to sportsbooks

The NFL has long pushed for the licensing of official betting data to sportsbooks. Some states have passed laws requiring sportsbooks to use this data. Others, like Illinois and Tennessee, have opted not to mandate the use of official data. Though the NFL maintains that the commercial cost of using this data is 0.25% of bets, lobbyists have pushed for a full lockdown on betting data.

This agreement paves the way for NFL data to be used for in-game betting. While NFL teams may not be involved in the data sales, they will provide integrity services to help monitor and prevent betting irregularities. The company, Sportradar, will have the exclusive rights to distribute audio-visual game feeds and data in select international markets. The NFL has worked with sports data provider Sportradar to customize the data that it will provide to sportsbooks.

PGA TOUR licenses video to sportsbooks

The PGA TOUR has partnered with a number of media companies and betting outfits in recent years to bring live scoring and video to sportsbooks. This latest deal, which will license video to sportsbooks across 14 states, will mark a significant step forward in the sport of golf betting. Earlier this year, the TOUR announced a multi-year deal with IMG Arena, which will license official live scoring data to betting outfits around the world.

The PGA Tour has been active in the betting space in recent years, launching an integrity program with Genius Sports to protect the competition from gambling influences. In 2018, the Tour announced a global partnership with IMG ARENA to license official live scoring data to sports betting operators, a move that will transform the landscape of in-play betting on golf. In addition, the Tour recently teamed up with DraftKings to re-launch “PGA TOUR DraftKings Fantasy Golf” to provide sports fans with an easier way to make bets on their favorite golfers.

The company’s website is compatible with Android and iOS devices and also offers a mobile app for iPhone users.

DraftKings licenses TwinSpires

The TwinSpires sportsbook was recently licensed by DraftKings for official betting. It offers odds on a variety of sports including soccer, horse racing, darts, rugby, Aussie Rules, and more. The site is licensed to offer betting in several states and has a simple mobile app. You can sign up for an account or make a deposit from the comfort of your home.
