IS THE IAM CENTER A CHRISTIAN COUNSELING CENTER?
The IAM Center is non-denominational. We chose the name IAM from the I Am Who AM. This is a phrase that is about the discovery of the true Self. The IAM Center is dedicated to people finding their true IAM in a psychological, spiritual and creative way. Whatever people’s belief systems brings to that concept is welcomed at the Center.
DOES THE IAM CENTER PROVIDE FOOD?
For workshops, food is provided.
For private therapy experiences lasting more than a day, participants provide their own food.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room.
There are grocery stores in the area; restaurants or people bring their own food.
WHAT ATTIRE WORKS BEST IN NEW ALBANY?
Comfortable shoes are a must. There is not much even terrain, so shoes with heels do not work.
Comfortable clothes are the way to go. There are no ‘dress up’ places in the area. This is rural Pennsylvania.
IS THERE CELL PHONE AND WIFI?
Yes we have both
ARE THERE PRIVATE BATHS?
All baths are shared.
HOW DO I PAY FOR SERVICES?
The Center takes checks, money orders or cash. We do not accept credit cards.
DO I NEED A CAR TO BE THERE?
Yes. The IAM Center is in rural Pennsylvania and to get around for food and other needs, one would have to have transportation. There is not a bus or train that gets here directly.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS IF I STAY OVERNIGHT AND FOR THERAPY?
If one is coming for individual work, the overnight fee is $65.
For a couple it is $95.
Workshops have fees to be announced.
Our median fee for an individual session is $80.
We have a sliding scale and a scholarship fund.
